As an emergency response clinical director within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), develop a memorandum of agreement for collaboration between your office at NIH and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding joint effort in fighting an imminent disease epidemic. Both teams will be stationed in the state of Florida. Both agencies will share a treatment center providing vaccination to local residents. Decide which portion of the treatment center the NIH will occupy and which the CDC will be in charge of operating.
Ensure your memorandum includes the following:
- Specify the essential details of the mission and the role each agency will play.
- Explain the length and terms of the agreement between NIH and CDC.
- Determine potential challenges and limitations associated with the joint initiatives.
- Dictate the management style of both agencies.
Support your assignment with at least five scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including seminal articles, may be included.
