Instructional Strategies Field Experience

  • by

Successful teachers chose their instructional strategies that can be differentiated to support individual student needs.

With your mentor’s permission, teach the lesson you developed in Topic 5 to a small group or the whole class. Following the delivery of your lesson, seek feedback from your mentor on its strengths and opportunities for growth.

Write a 250-500 word reflection on the lesson you taught and the feedback you received. Include the following:

· Identify strengths and weaknesses: What went better than expected? What difficulties were encountered? What changes did you make during instruction and why?

· What differentiation strategies did you use and were they effective?

· What technology did you utilize? What could be done to ensure the technology is effective in reaching all students?

· What did you learn from the feedback? How will you apply what you have learned to your future professional practice?
