The purpose of this assignment is to conduct an interview with a representative from human resources at a local health care organization to review the role and impact of the human resources department in that organization.
Refer to the resource, “Creating Effective PowerPoint Presentations,” located in the Student Success Center, for additional guidance on completing this assignment in the appropriate style. Aim to follow the 7×7 rule, limiting 7 bullet points per slide and 7 words per bullet. The explanation and elaboration for each slide should be included in the accompanying speaker notes.
In a 12-15-slide PowerPoint presentation, address how the following elements:
- Identify the human resource functions (such as benefits, employee relations, and risk management) that the organization utilizes and describe how they contribute to support of the organizational structure.
- Identify the various human resource tools (employee handbook, job descriptions, written policies, grievance forms, etc.) in the organizational structure, how they are used, and their importance.
- Examine what effect the human resources processes and policies have on patient care.
- Identify major human resources challenges the organization has faced and how they were handled.
Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
